Spring Sports

All athletes trying out for a spring sport must have a VHSL physical completed after May 1, 2022. Forms are available online.

We do permit 8th graders to play high school junior varsity in the following spring sports: boys and girls lacrosse.

All practices/tryouts will begin on Monday, February 20 (unless otherwise noted). Please see/email your respective coach for specific details on off-season workouts and meetings. Details of tryouts outlined below.

Mike Morris

Tryouts: February 20 - Varsity from 12:30 to 3:00 p.m. and JV from 3:30 to 6:00 p.m. at the baseball field.

Offseason Workouts: Begin on January 10
Tuesdays: 4:00 to 5:45 p.m. - 11th/12th graders

Thursdays: 4:00 to 5:45 p.m. - 9th/10th graders

Boys Lacrosse

Fielding Crawford

Tryouts: February 20 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the  CMS main field
** Bring all equipment, mouthpiece, and filled water bottle.**

Workouts: Tuesdays/Thursdays from 3:45 to 4:45 p.m.
** Meet in front parking lot with running shoes and appropriate athletics clothing. **

Boys Soccer

Tryouts: February 20: 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. (Juniors and Seniors Only)
Tryouts: February 21: 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. (Freshmen and Sophomores Only)

Tryouts: February 22–24: 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. (Everyone)

Offseason Workouts: Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:45 to 5:45 p.m.

Boys Tennis

Tryouts: February 21 from 6:00 to 7:30 p.m. and February 22–24 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Workouts: Saturday, January 28, February 4, and February 11 from 9:30 to 11:00 a.m.

Girls Lacrosse

Girls Soccer

Tryouts: February 20 - 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and 4:00 to 5:30 p.m.
** Athletes are expected to attend both tryout times on February 20.**
Workouts: Begin on Wednesday, January 4

Mondays/Wednesdays/Thursdays: 4:15 to 5:45 p.m.

Girls Tennis

Tryouts: February 20 from 4:30 to 6:00 p.m. and February 21–24 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.
Workouts: January 31, February 2, February 7, February 9, and February 14 at 4:15 p.m.

Outdoor Track (Boys and Girls)

Neil Mathews

Tryouts: March 6 and 7 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Atlee track
Practices Begin: March 8 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at the Atlee track
Practices are Monday through Friday from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m.

You must have a completed physical and concussion form to try out. Tryouts will include sprinting, pole vaulting, jumping, throwing, and distance running.


Rasheeda Crews 

Tryouts: February 20 from 2:00 to 4:30 p.m.
Workouts: Begin on Tuesday January 10
Tuesdays/Thursdays: 4:15 to 6:15 p.m.
Fridays: 4:15 to 5:15 p.m.
