Ms. Kara Lloyd

In her first year as assistant principal of Atlee High School, Ms. Lloyd brings a wealth of experience and a deep-rooted connection to our school community. Over the past three years, she has served as assistant principal at Liberty Middle School, where she was known for her student-centered leadership, professional growth, and dedication to academic excellence. Prior to that role, she spent five years as a senior teacher at Liberty and began her educational career as a 4th grade teacher at John M. Gandy Elementary School.

In addition to her impressive professional background, Mrs. Lloyd is no stranger to the Atlee community. As a proud parent of three Raiders, all of whom graduated from Atlee, she brings not only professional expertise, but also a personal investment in our school’s continued success.

Mrs. Lloyd holds a bachelor’s degree from Randolph-Macon College and a master’s degree from the University of Virginia.

We look forward to the positive impact she will have on our students, staff, and families as we continue to strive for excellence together.
