Mr. Travise Billups

Travise Billups 
Mr. Billups is entering his 12th year of education. Mr. Billups graduated from Elizabeth City State University with a bachelor’s degree in communications studies. He also holds a master’s degree in exceptional education from George Mason University and a certificate of educational leadership from Longwood University. Mr. Billups has previously served as an assistant principal at Caroline High School in Caroline County Public Schools and Yvonne B. Miller High School at Bon Air Juvenile Correctional Facility. He started his leadership journey as a dean of students in Richmond Public Schools. Before that, he was a special education teacher in Henrico County Public Schools at James River Juvenile Detention Center and the Virginia Randolph Education Center. He started his career as a substitute in Fairfax County Public Schools before becoming an instructional assistant at a private day school while pursuing his master's degree.

Mr. Billups enjoys attending sporting events, going to the movies, and spending time with his family in his spare time.
